Funding sourced by the committee has been used to install two more tanks to harvest water from the roof.
This water will be used to fill the pool, providing a number of clear advantages over using the town water.
The rain water will be kinder to the water filtration system and will also cut down on water bills.
The project has caught the eye of Wannon Water with a representative from the water authority ringing Belfast Aquatics chair Anne McIlroy to congratulate the committee on the initiative.
