One of the world's most exciting pacers is coming to the club's metropolitan class meet on Saturday night.
Ride High has won 15 out of 16 starts, including his past 10.
The Clayton Tonkin trained horse will start from the second row in the $30,000 Christian's Bus Gammalite Pace.
"It's a great coup getting him here," THRC vice-president Clare Payne said.
"He's one the most exciting pacers in harness racing in a generation.
"A horse like him wouldn't come to Terang normally."
In fact, it will be the five-year-old's first time racing at Terang when he takes on the 1680-metre pace.
Tonkin, based at Cardigan, has another contender in the prestigious Gammalite race.

Out to Play, to be driven by James Herbertson, has already scored eight victories from 18 starts.
He is coming off a win at Ballarat two weeks ago.
It will also be the four-year-old's first race at Terang.
There are plenty of south-west names entered in Saturday's meet.
Race three - the 2180m THRC Life Members Pace - will be one to watch.
Trainer Bec East (Heywood) has Tinge of Fear, Mattie Craven (Ecklin South) has Dream Playgirl and Anthony O'Connor (Scotts Creek) has Abbey Fields among the south-west runners in the mix.
The THRC has also released its free virtual trots ticket.
It means anyone can register free to access live coverage of Saturday's meet online.
Payne said the more the merrier and emphasised it was for everybody.
"We have a lot of our members and owners that can't be there on the night," she said.
"They can't physically be there but they can virtually now."
Payne said the club already had virtual ticket registrations from all over Australia and some from America, New Zealand and Wales.
Registration to the free ticket can be accessed via THRC's website.
Ticket holders will gain access to an online race book, Parade Ring interviews, pre-race analysis and post-race winning driver interviews and more.
They will also get free entry into the 'Pick the Mile Rate Competition'.
They need to predict the winning mile rate for the 1680m Christian's Bus Gammalite Pace and the 2180m Haras Des Trotteurs Trot.
The track record, held jointly by Im Sir Blake and Tam Major, is 1:53.6 minutes for 1680m.
The record for 2180m is 2.01.4 minutes held by Victree Hill.
There are eight races on the card with the first at 5.29pm this Saturday.
