Foster's appointment follows football mentor Ben Price re-signing in July, giving the Cats stability at the top leading into a new season.
Club president Shane Murphy said he was thrilled to have both senior coaches signed up.
It comes after the Warrnambool and District league season was abandoned due to coronavirus pandemic restrictions.
The grand final, had the season proceeded, was to played on Saturday just gone.
"As every club wants, we just want to try and get a bit of stability," Murphy said.
"With the year we've had or haven't had, whichever way you look at it, we've just looked at locking in the coaches we had this year just to continue it on.
"Hopefully we'll keep all the players keen to keep playing."
Murphy said it was important to have people invested in the Cats' program involved.
"Having someone at the club like Bridget, who is a really good club person and loves the place, it is really good to have her still onboard," he said.
He said Foster was keen to make up for a lost season.
"I think everyone is. You don't realise how much you'd miss it (until it happens)," Murphy said.
"Especially the social side of it, trying to catch up with people that are friends. You just haven't had a chance to do that."
Allansford is hopeful of retaining the bulk of its football and netball lists.
"You'd like to hope all players we have will stick around and we'll hopefully pick up another one or two," Murphy said.
"We're confident we'll have a good year, it's something you always hope for I suppose. But you don't know until you play a game."
