It was reward for a stellar season which saw him win four feature jumps races.
The prestigious Tommy Corrigan Medal is awarded to the leading jumps jockey in Victoria and South Australia each season.
It was one of 13 awards handed out during a special 90-minute broadcast.
With a physical event not possible due to COVID-19 restrictions, the broadcast enabled all within the Victorian racing industry to celebrate the successes of the 2019-20 season from the comfort of their homes.
Jackson, who relocated to Warrnambool from Ireland with his family in August 2012, was seen at the peak of his powers, stepping up to capture winning rides for the powerful Ciaron Maher and David Eustace stable on Ablaze in the Warrnambool Grand Annual Steeplechase and Grand National Hurdle plus Bit Of A Lad's victories in the Australian and Thackeray steeplechases.
In an interview with The Standard last week before his ride on Ablaze in the Grand National Steeplechase, Jackson said he was grateful for the opportunities he had received this season.
"I've had great support from my family and numerous trainers and owners," he said.
"It was a massive thrill to win my first Warrnambool Grand Annual Steeplechase on Ablaze for Ciaron and David and to follow that win up with Ablaze winning the Grand National Hurdle was special.
"I've got to rate Ablaze as the best jumper I've ridden. The wins of Bit Of A Lad in the two jumping features were also great."
Champion hoop Damien Oliver took home his 11th Scoble Breasley Medal as the top metropolitan jockey.
