IF Ben Brown is to be traded at season's end, Essendon should do everything in its power to get him in red and black.

The Bombers are seriously lacking a tall forward and with Joe Daniher and Jake Stringer out injured, it's hampering the club's ability to even look like a finals threat.
Essendon has been linked to both Brown and Greater Western Sydney spearhead Jeremy Cameron. How badly it needs one of the two is becoming more evident as time goes on.
Against St Kilda on Sunday, Essendon won the midfield battle. It registered more clearances, more disposals and even more inside 50s.
It has players capable of clean disposal and hitting a player like Brown square in the chest, which is what he needs.
Nobody should doubt Brown's quality. He's a star forward and one of the best set-shot kicks in the competition. He's a good player having a bad year.
He's not a contested marking beast but if a midfield can lower the eyes and hit him on the run, he'll kick goals.
Being clean with kicking inside 50 is something Brown's current club, North Melbourne, hasn't been able to do. That's why he should be pursued as a hot commodity.
There's no certainly Daniher won't back up his trade request this season with a free agency move so it's probable Essendon's list management team is weighing up its options.
Which way will the Bombers go?
