An allocation of $230,00 has been set aside for improvements in East Beach carparking and drainage.
This amount comes from a pool of $2.72 million awarded to Moyne Shire Council through the federal government's Local Roads and Community Infrastructure.
Port Fairy Surf Life Saving Club president Ian Powell welcomed the news.
"This is very positive, at the moment the parking at East Beach is very ad hoc," Mr Powell said.
"It certainly needs to be organised so hopefully this money can fund works to do that. The drainage has been an issue for a while now, when we get a lot of rain the gravel is washed down the hill at Hughes Avenue and the holes reappear that the gravel had filled. Hopefully this work will bring a longer term solution."
East Beach is one of 10 projects funded.
Belfast Aquatics in Port Fairy has been given $100,000 for equipment renewal.
In Koroit, $221,000 will be spent on car parking and landscaping at Victoria Park.
A further $92,000 will go the construction of a footpath in North Street.
Other projects to be funded include a Grassmere footpath ($400,000), a Winslow footpath ($340,000), a footpath in Macarthur footpath ($210,000), a bridge at Blind Creek Road ($325,000), the implementation of a master plan for Irvine Reserve in Peterborough ($440,00) and five new relocatable cabins at Mortlake Caravan Park ($360,000).
