Smith, who has stables at Warrnambool and in Perth, accepted with four runners Rivet Delight, Lucky For All, Reykjavik and Great Again on the nine-race program but will decide on Saturday morning which runners will run.
"Things are a bit up in the air relating to what horses we'll be running," Smith said.
"I've been keeping my eyes on the weather all this week. I'll wait until the scratching deadline on Saturday morning before deciding who is in and who is out.

"Great Again and Reykjavik are in the same race but I may scratch Reykjavik. He could go to the Regal Roller at Caulfield next week.
"Grand Again has drawn a good barrier. I would love to see the track in the heavy range. He's been running well but has found a couple too strong at his last couple of runs.
"We've got Rivet Delight and Lucky For All in a 1400-metre race. Rivet Delight needs it wetter and longer in distance.
"I was very happy with his last start at Caulfield. He's improved off that run while Lucky For All is a quirky type. I might save him for a race at Moonee Valley in the future."
Warrnambool based jockey Declan Bates has been booked to ride Rivet Delight and Great Again.
Ciaron Maher, who trains in partnership with David Eustace has seven runners at Flemington. There main chances are South Pacific, Galactic Fury and Flinders River.
Maher said Flinders River had improved since his last start win at Caulfield but is running over 1800 metres for the first time.
"I thought it was a very good win by Flinders River last time," he said. "Flinders River has improved on the back of the Caulfield victory.
"He's getting out to 1800 metres. I'm confident that he'll run out the distance."
"We've called on the services of Will Price to ride Flinders River. His three kilogram claim should be a big advantage for the lightly raced three-year-old."
The Maher-Eustace stable also has Rezealient and Anders running at Rosehill.
