Lifeline Australia chairman John Brogden made the plea and said people should not suffer in silence.
"My message to all Victorians is 'you are not in this alone, Lifeline is here for you'," he said. "Please don't suffer in silence."
Last month Lifeline had a 25 per cent increase in calls in the south-west from people needing support during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Mr Brogden also encouraged the community to reach out to those who may be living alone and to those who may find physical distancing and self-isolation a struggle. For support call 13 11 14, text 0477 13 11 14 or chat online with www.lifeline.org.au
