A 21-year-old Portland man has been arrested this morning and interviewed at Portland police station in relation to the theft of the utility.
He has been released but is expected to be charged on summons with the theft and to appear in the Warrnambool Magistrates Court on a date to be fixed.
Earlier: Koroit police are seeking information after a white 2004 Holden utility with a distinctive white sticker on the back windscreen was stolen from Illowa late Monday afternoon.
Koroit police Senior Constable Victoria Hudson said the white ute, with crude writing on the rear windscreen sticker, was stolen about 4.40pm on Monday from a Illowa dairy farm at Conns Lane.
The ute was later located undamaged at Terang soon after 7pm.
It was seen driving on the wrong side of the road at Dennington and is believed to have been at Mortlake about 5.30pm.
Senior Constable Hudson requested anyone who had seen the ute, or who had dash camera footage of the vehicle, contact Koroit police station or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
