Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a fatal crash which occurred south of Colac on Monday afternoon.

Investigators believe a truck was travelling along Forrest-Apollo Bay Road near Tanybryn about 1.45pm when the driver lost control of the vehicle, which then left the road and crashed into a tree.
A passenger in the truck, believed to be a man in his 30s, died at the scene.
The driver of the truck, believed to be a man in his 20s, was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
The exact cause of the crash is yet to be determined and the investigation remains ongoing.
Victoria Police major collision unit members attended the accident scene on Monday.
