Take a closer look at Deakin while social distancing

A close look from far away

Deakin is holding its Virtual Open Day on Sunday 16 August between 9am-4pm. In order to deliver you the same great open day experience as previous years, we are taking the event online with a level of access like never before!

Tune into webinars about study areas that interest you, participate in live Q&A sessions with study experts and hear firsthand about university life from current students.

Deakin's Open Day will provide information on all our campuses, Burwood, Geelong (Waurn Ponds and Waterfront), Cloud and of course, Warrnambool.

The Warrnambool Campus provides you with an opportunity to have a global education at a university ranked in the top one per cent worldwide, on a local scale. Home to a close-knit community of ambitious students and staff, it is a campus with spirit and heart.

Whether you are a school leaver looking at tertiary education options or someone who is looking for a career change, Deakin's Virtual Open Day will help you make an informed decision.

We want you to make the most of your time with us and enjoy yourself in the process.

Graduates from the Warrnambool Campus are highly regarded by employers. The average class size here is smaller than our other campuses, and most other universities, meaning you will benefit from a more personal approach to your studies. The library is not only a great space to study but a hub of infinite physical and digital resources, including our helpful and dedicated library staff.

Whether you are studying environmental science and marine biology, commerce, nursing, health sciences, psychological sciences or education - immerse yourself in Warrnambool's inspiring surroundings and explore where your studies could take you. The globally recognised research carried out at this campus supports the very environment it sits in, and beyond.

We want you to make the most of your time with us and enjoy yourself in the process. Our extensive range of services and resources are designed to cover every area of university life - study, work and play. We have a range of services to help both students and staff stay healthy and safe, including medical centres, multi-faith rooms, counselling services and disability support services, gym and sporting facilities. Deakin Residential Services Warrnambool has attractive accommodation facilities for those students that want to stay on campus.

As a Deakin student in Warrnambool you can take advantage of a range of scholarship opportunities through the generous support of the local community, the Federal Government and Deakin.
