The association on Monday announced senior fixtures will kick off on July 26 and will play an 14-round season without finals.
Rangers' under 17 outfit will play 15 matches with games starting at 11am on Sunday.
Rangers senior coach Cameron Pyke said skipping finals meant more matches were able to take place.
"At the end of the day, I don't mind missing finals," Pyke said.
"If you'd have told me we'd be getting as many games as we are when (COVID-19) started I would've laughed.
"All parties, the BDSA, Football Victoria and the South West Victoria Football Association have put in a huge body of work to make it happen."
Pyke said it was hard to gauge Rangers' first-up opponent without proper scouting.
"(Ballarat) played in the state league five last season so a lot of their experienced players and young players with potential went up to that level," he said.
"They weren't as competitive at BDSA level and I haven't had the opportunity to scout them too much.
"We'll focus on putting our best foot forward and really back the brand of football we want to play."
Pyke said Rangers were excited to unleash several new recruits when the campaign resumed.
