The league unveiled the 10-game home-and-away fixture on Thursday with Hawks to make the mid-week time-slot their own.
Other games will be played on Saturdays with the Sunday competition moving across for 2020.
There will be a two-week finals series. Game times will be determined next week.
The Wednesday night fixture means teams which play Hawks will face a jam-packed schedule with Saturday matches on either side.
Hawks president Wayne Promnitz said with 11 junior clubs, a mid-week fixture was deemed the best way to avoid a bye.
Promnitz said Hawks would not feature an under 16 football team this year which reduced the time-factor under lights.
Hawks only have under 14 and under 12 football teams and 16 and under, 14 and under and 12 and under netball sides.
"We just hopefully want to get games played and we had to work out a way to do that," he said.
"This stops the need for a bye but it means the other teams are always on the back-up when they play us.
"It's not the best outcome but then COVID is not the best outcome for anybody."
The finals will consist of first-versus-fourth and second-versus-third in each age group playing off for a spot in the grand final.
The semi-finals are on September 19 and September 26.
The Hampden league junior competition will feature four football grades - under 18.5s, under 16s, under 14s and under 12s - and seven netball grades - 17 and under, 16 and under, 15 and under, 14 and under, 13 and under, 12 and under and 12 and under development.
Under 10 football is also an option for clubs with the numbers.
Round one will be played on Wednesday, July 15 and Saturday, July 18.
