Musgrove told The Standard Zatagilo had been set for the $67,000 open steeplechase over 3800 metres.
"This is the race I've had in mind for Zatagilo for a few months," the respected mentor said.
He just seems to love Casterton. He loves the course and the live hedges.

"He just seems to love Casterton. He loves the course and the live hedges. I took him up to Casterton on Monday to have a jumps school and he never missed a beat.
'There are some horses that love Casterton and others don't handle the circuit but believe me Zatagilo loves the place. He can improve a lot on his past couple of starts.
"I've also got Tremec in the same race. He schooled over the jumps at Casterton with Zatagilo but he never went as well as his stablemate."
Former Warrnambool based jumps jockey Darryl Horner, who is now the stable rider for Musgrove rides Zatagilo in the 'chase.
The open steeplechase is one of five jumps races on the eight event program. The other three races are high-weight events. All races are for jumps jockeys. The opening race is scheduled to start at 12.06pm with the last race due to begin at 4.25pm.
