Ross "Po" Powell, 71, and Andrew Powell, 32, drowned trying to save a tourist from the entrance of the Sherbrook River near the Twelve Apostles on Easter Sunday last year.
The father and son were life-long members of the Port Campbell Surf Life Saving Club (SLSC), active in the CFA and SES and prominent figures in the local dairy farming industry.
Port Campbell SLSC member Phil Younis was seriously injured during the mission, suffering a dislocated hip, broken pelvis, damaged spleen and other abrasions and bruising
On June 30, the rescue mission will be aired on Channel Nine's 'Paramedics' - a documentary series offering insight into the daily lives of emergency service workers.
The episode, scheduled at 7.30pm, will follow the air ambulance to the site and show the in-water rescue of the tourist, as well as footage of the overturned boat and interviews with Mr Younis about his recovery.
The episode will also include a tribute to the Powells and the local community.
A Life Saving Victoria (LSV) spokeswoman acknowledged Mr Younis for his "bravery in sharing his rescue story".
"The lifesaving community continues to mourn the tragic loss of Port Campbell lifesaving volunteers Ross and Andy Powell during the rescue mission on Easter Sunday last year, in which Phil was also seriously injured," she said.
"The investigation into the deaths of Ross and Andy Powell remains open before the coroner and we are unable to comment on specific details.
"Ross and Andy were highly experienced and well-respected members of the Port Campbell SLSC and wider community.
"LSV and Port Campbell SLSC continue to support the Younis and Powell families, Port Campbell SLSC members and the wider Port Campbell community.
"As we remember our lost colleagues and reflect on the inherent danger of our roles as first responders, we remind our members that support is available at any time by contacting LSV Comms."
Port Campbell Surf Lifesaving Club president Scott McKenzie said the 2019 rescue mission involved two air ambulance units, the police air wing and the Westpac lifesaving helicopter.
"All of those agencies did an incredible job and like the stories they show on other episodes, it is something they deal with everyday," he said.
"Those type of shows show the amazing job that all the emergency service guys do."
Mr McKenzie said a tribute to the Powells and the local community would be well-received.
"I'm sure it will be extremely emotional for Po and Andy's family, and for everybody that knew them, but it will be a nice part of the show," he said.
"It will give pause to reflect on losing Po and Andy."
'Paramedics' is produced with the help of Ambulance Victoria and features vision captured from up to 60 cameras rigged in ambulances, helicopters and on motorbikes.
