Safety concerns over a notoriously dangerous intersection on Raglan Parade have been raised by residents and councillors as a "matter of urgency".

Resident Glenda Grayson described the intersection with Botanic Road and Fitzroy Road as "absolutely crazy".
"People don't know which way to go," Mrs Grayson said.
For more than a decade she has been outspoken about the intersection which has seen numerous accidents and many near misses.
"My husband was out there one night trying to stop traffic. It's so dangerous," Mrs Grayson said.
She said she also feared emergency vehicles were being hampered on their way to incidents after having witnessed the behavior of traffic when fire trucks coming down Botanic Road were trying to get through.
"They're going to finish up in a collision going to an emergency," she said.
Mrs Grayson said it was really bad, especially around school pick-up and drop-off times. She said B-doubles and road trains that now came up Botanic Road struggled to navigate the intersection, as well as school buses. "It's absolutely crazy," she said.
And when drivers are banked up at Fitzroy Road, Mrs Grayson said some days she could hear from her back yard abuse being yelled out by frustrated motorists.
She said while some drivers waiting at Fitzroy Road would be very cautious, others waiting behind would get impatient and start blasting on their horns or become vocal.
Mrs Grayson said many people avoided the intersection altogether because it was so dangerous.
She also raised concerns about drivers "flying out" onto Raglan Parade from nearby Hyland Street after a give way sign was removed.
Cr Sue Cassidy said the intersection, which the community saw as dangerous, needed the attention of Roads Victoria. Councillors have asked chief executive officer Peter Schneider to raise the issue with the regional manager as a matter of urgency.
Emmanuel College principal Peter Morgan and South West Coast MP Roma Britnell recently raised concerns about both the Ardlie Street and Botanic Road intersections causing traffic nightmares.
The Ardlie Street intersection with Raglan Parade has now been earmarked for traffic lights, but the work is yet to be funded.
