Matthew Malady, 31, and Cassandra Robbins, 30, both of Warrnambool, appeared in Warrnambool Magistrates Court on Friday.
The pair were arrested earlier that day after Warrnambool police detectives and uniform officers executed a search warrant at Ms Robbins' Banyan Street property about 8.30am.
Police found two grams of cannabis, one ecstasy tablet and stolen property, including a generator and long arm gardening appliance.
They also seized a cannabis bong.
The court heard there were two young children present during the warrant.
Mr Malady was arrested, interviewed and charged with possessing cannabis and breaching bail.
The court heard he was bailed from Warrnambool Magistrates Court on May 8 after being charged with breaking into the home of a deceased man and stealing a six-person spa.
One of his bail conditions was not to associate with Ms Robbins.
He told the court he stayed at her house overnight on Thursday, in breach of his bail, because he had suffered a panic attack.
Magistrate Michael Coghlan said the man was foolish and lucky to not be locked up.
Mr Malady pleaded guilty to the charges and was fined $800.
He will remain on bail in relation to the other charges, which include burglary and theft of two bank cards.
Ms Robbins was also arrested and charged with possession of ice, possession of stolen property and breaching bail.
It's believed the stolen items were acquired after a burglary at a Cramer Street address during the past fortnight.
The court heard Ms Robbins failed to provide the pin code to her mobile phone, despite a court-imposed warrant ordering to do so.
She pleaded guilty to the charges and was placed on a six-month correction order with the condition she do 60 hours of unpaid community work.
