Portland police are investigating the cause of what is being treated as a suspicious house fire in Dartmoor on Tuesday morning.

Detective Sergeant Jason von Tunk, of the Portland police crime investigation unit, said emergency services were alerted about 5am to a fire at the three-bedroom weatherboard home.
"There was a fire at 92 Lindsay Road in Dartmoor this morning," he said.
"The cause of the fire is being treated as suspicious at this stage. A Country Fire Authority investigator and Portland CIU detectives are looking into the cause of the blaze."
The home was destroyed and the replacement value would be about $200,000.
