Detective Senior Constable Richard Hughes, of the Warrnambool police crime investigation unit said that the break-in happened between noon and 4.45pm Tuesday.
The victim was notified by her partner their home had been burgled after he sent through a photo.
It's not the first time their home and garage had been targeted after a number of incidents this year and a Ford Falcon was previously damaged.
It's believed the offender has access to the house using keys stolen in February or has an electronic door opener.
A $1000 coin collection, wedding ring, house keys and alcohol were stolen from the home.
In the garage a Makita woodworking stud cutter, similar to a circular saw, and a micrometer were taken.
Crime scene officers have attended and processed the garage and home for forensic evidence.
Detective Senior Constable Hughes requested that residents who saw anything suspicious in the area to contact police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
