President Malcolm Dyson said a total of 17 shooters returned to the range on Wednesday for the first day back from the COVID-19 pandemic induced break.
Only 10 people can shoot at once so participants had to book a session.
There were three one-hour and 15-minute slots to choose from.
Dyson said the system worked well and members were pleased to return to the range.
"All the guys and girls, they were all keen to get back and have a shoot again," he said.
"Even though there's no competition, they're all keen to get back."

Dyson said the shotgun club was permitted to have 10 shooters on the range as well as three support staff, such as a coach.
Their role is to look and clean up after shooters.
The club would normally host shoots every Wednesday and competitions every second Saturday of the month.
But competition is not allowed under current restrictions.
Dyson is hoping it will be permitted soon.
"Our club makes our money out of competition so we need to get back shooting," he said.
Practice is only allowed for Australian Clay Target Association and Sporting Clays Australia members.
The club house is closed (except toilets) and shooters need to leave the grounds immediately after practice.
