Nirranda will hold a calf drive on Sunday to help cover the club's general expenses.
Club stalwarts Jason Burleigh and Lauren Parsons have teamed up to find farmers happy to donate a calf.
Burleigh said the club was getting players involved "to show their appreciation to the farmers giving to the club".
The former Blues footballer said it was an opportunity for some players to catch up given they hadn't been training together because of the coronavirus pandemic.
"Hopefully, it will be an outing for the players as well," he said.
Parsons, the club's sponsorship coordinator, said people should expect to see netballers and footballers roaming around in utes and trailers, working together to pick up calves on Sunday.
She said the Blues hadn't had a calf drive for about two years and it was the ideal opportunity to bring it back with calving season coming to an end.
"Now is the time to do it, if you're going to do a calf drive," she said.
The club is sponsored by some calf buyers which will weigh and pay for the calves.
Parsons said the fundraiser had already received great support.
"The majority of people have been generous and happy to jump on board," she said.
She said it was a unique fundraiser for out-of-town clubs.
"It's probably an advantage over in-town clubs," she said.
"It's not something they can do - not having dairy farmers as part of their supporter base."
Nirranda's senior netballers also came up with a fun idea to promote community spirit earlier this month.
They made a fun edited-together video of teammates passing each other a netball.
The players submitted clips of themselves passing or receiving a netball in their homes or backyards.
