Bailey MacDonald has raised over $3700 for the South West Cancer Centre through her humble scrunchie business.

The 13-year-old has been selling her scrunchies for between $4-$6 for the past 10 months and was gifted material from the funky Australian label Gorman by its founder, Warrnambool-raised Lisa Gorman and her mother Jane.
"It was so exciting to have Gorman material, I'm a big fan," Bailey said.
"I love material and this is the best I've come across. It was a real honour to work with.
"Raising the amount of money makes me feel proud. I'm happy that I could do something for such a great cause and I've seen first-hand the work they do."
In October 2017 Bailey's father Garry 'Macca' MacDonald was diagnosed with cancer and further investigation revealed he had Hodgkin's Lymphoma.
The Koroit youngster created Bailey's Scrunchies for a Cause, a non-for-profit enterprise for the South West Cancer Centre, inspired by the care they gave her father.
Bailey's mother Adele MacDonald was proud of her daughter's achievement and thrilled in the community's support.
"We met with Jane Gorman and were just chatting about what Bailey was doing for charity and she straight away donated some material," Mrs MacDonald said.
"Next time Jane was in Melbourne she told Lisa what Bailey was doing and Lisa donated more.
"The Gorman scrunchies sold like hotcakes.
"Sarah Wall got a hold of the scrunchies and did a big post about it on Instagram.
"They sold out in shops in Warrnambool and Koroit. Through Bailey's Instagram she was selling them as far as Queensland."
Bailey has since slowed down her scrunchie-making but still has some available through her Instagram page baileys_scrunchies_for_a_cause. More will be available when south-west stockists reopen: The Local Place, Yellow Owl Hairdresser, Direct Chemist Outlet, Dollish Nails, Birds and Fellas, DeTa Hair and the Koroit Authorised Lotto and Newsagents.
"I'd like to say thank you so much to everyone that have donated fabrics, elastic and extra money to my cause," Bailey said.
"And thank you to everyone who have bought my scrunchies."
