Warrnambool Sergeant Ross Fitzgerald said that there seemed to be a few people who inadvertently stopped to watch on Tuesday during the jumps meeting at the Warrnambool racecourse.
"Yesterday there were a few people who seemed to have stopped for a look when walking past," he said.
"They all moved on when prompted by police officers and security. No tickets were issued and there have been no problems."
Sergeant Fitzgerald issued a warning at the weekend after people were seen watching jumps trials at Warrnambool last Tuesday.
"People have been calling in about potential breaches and all those reports have been investigated," the police officer said.
"Usually it works out that people are not doing what callers may have thought," he said.
"The race club also did a letter drop to surrounding houses warning people of the COVID-19 restrictions and people seem to have paid attention.
"There have been plenty of warnings about the races and the health restrictions, but everything has worked out pretty well.
"We would like to congratulate everyone for their excellent and responsible approach to the restrictions."
