Zahra said he was pleased to take out such a rich race.
"It's obviously a nice race to target and she got really lost at Caulfield under the pressure, we were thinking about putting her out," he said.
"But this race wasn't far around the corner and we just freshened her up a little bit."
Zahra praised Kah's ride.
"She does show a bit of ping and good ability," he said.
"The freshen (since Caulfield) and back to the 1000m has helped. It was a balanced ride from Jamie, too, which really helped.
"Over the 1200m, everyone wanted to be in the same spot. I know we went back to the 1000m today but there was less pressure today. She also got on the wrong leg last time.
"I thought it was a soft win today but we'll see how she pulls up. If there's still a bit in the tank we might press on but we're very mindful of springtime."
Kah was confident Chrome Angel would finish on the straight.
"I thought I'd get there if I got the run and it came at the perfect time," she said.
"She's got ability, this horse. She is very green still and goes about it the wrong way - she wants to overdo it. But riding her like that suits her."
Chrome Angel has made a stunning start to her career with two wins from three starts.
The two-year-old also won at Bendigo in April.
She added to her $25,095 prize money.
