Warrnambool and District Cricket Association chairman Gordon McLeod said talks of moving back to accommodate a potentially late-starting football and netball season were hypothetical.
It comes as Ballarat Cricket Association president Rob Florence said on Monday he was open to talks with football administrators about shifting the season.

Football and netball have been shelved until at least May 31 in a bid to quell the spread of COVID-19 in south-west.
Several options - including a late start and a nine-game season - have been raised as potential solutions if the sports are to return mid-year.
McLeod said a late start for cricket was "possible" but his board would make a judgement later in the year.
"It's a bit hypothetical at the moment. You have to be fair to everyone," he said.

"I guess we could end up starting a bit later but realistically who knows what is going to happen (with coronavirus restrictions).
"We'll make that judgment call later on."
Under legislation, football clubs have access to grounds between April and October and cricket clubs through the summer months.
McLeod said the board was planning for an October start but was mindful of the coronavirus situation.
"We've got some flexibility there to look at it further down the track."
