Colac police said the man was intercepted driving a 2011 Toyota Hilux in Colac's Murray Street at 10.44am on Wednesday.
The man was unlicensed and he failed a road side drug test which will be sent off for analysis.
The driver also provided a false name to police and as a result had his father's vehicle impounded for 30 days.
