A Portland police spokesman said Anthony Burns, 72, was located safe and well.
"He's now back at home with his family," the police officer said.
Police thanked members of the public for their assistance in helping locate Mr Burns.
Thursday: Police are appealing for public assistance to help locate Portland man Anthony Burns.
The 72-year-old was last seen at his home address on Cape Nelson Road on Wednesday afternoon at 3.15pm.
Mr Burns is believed to be driving his vehicle a silver 2010 Mazda BT50 utility, registered XQX-833.
Police and family have concerns for Mr Burns as he requires medication every several hours for a medical condition.
Portland police Sergeant Alex Gettens said this morning police were worried about Mr Burn's medical condition and were still actively looking for him.
Investigators have released an image of the missing man in the hope someone may have seen him and can provide information regarding his whereabouts.
