The man, who cannot be named because that would identify the victim, was remanded in police custody overnight Monday .
He failed to appear in Warrnambool Magistrates Court the following day because he was suffering from cold-like symptoms.
Lawyer Kyle Eccles convinced the magistrate to hear the matter in the man's absence and guilty pleas were entered for offences including persistent breaching intervention orders after a court order was put in place protecting the woman during November last year.
The court heard the man was on strict bail conditions and on March 4 sent three Snapchat messages to the woman.
He then called her private number, sent her a video on TikTok and then two Facebook messages.
None of the messages were abusive but the woman said she felt extremely anxious and moved from her home.
Other charges related to the man visiting the woman in northern Victoria.
He was reported to police, who found him hiding behind a door and claimed he had been there for three days at the invitation of the woman.
Mr Eccles said the offences occurred within days of the man attended court for similar offending.
He said prior to March 22 the man had no criminal history, and that the offending occurred in the context of a relationship break down and the loss of an unborn child.
Mr Eccles said the man now lived about five hours from the victim an had no intention of contacting her.
The man was placed on a 12-month corrections order with the condition he do 100 hours of community work.
