A man has been charged over an early morning alleged hit-and-run fatal accident in Hamilton earlier this week.

Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives laid the charges over the March 10 accident in which a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in Henry Court just after 3am.
The victim, a 48-year-old Hamilton man, died at the scene.
The driver allegedly fled the scene and was arrested a short time later.
A 52-year-old south-west man was charged with dangerous driving causing death, fail to stop and fail to render assistance.
He was to appear at Melbourne Magistrates' Court on Saturday morning.
