Hosted by the South Western District Restoration Group, the rally will showcase vintage motors, machinery, tractors, cars, trucks and more at the Racecourse Park Rally Ground.
Vice-president of South Western District Restoration Brian O'Shannessy is looking forward to another successful event.
"We have a Crossley 13 horse power engine which was used on the Dalvui family farm in Terang in about the 1940s," he said.
"After it was on the farm it fell into disrepair until Robin Close restored it in Shepparton. He always wanted the engine to return to the area and we purchased it from him before he passed away.
"The Close Family are coming to start the engine on Saturday and it will be the first time it has started in the district for 70 years.
"People will remember the engine and what it was used for. That's the best thing about the club; people remember what their parents and grandparent used to do."
There is plenty to see and do at the rally with stall holders showing off their collections and paraphernalia and the Vintage Tractor Pull always fascinates the crowds.
The auction begins on Saturday at 11am and Mr O'Shannessy is expecting a good crowd to swell for the event.
"We have engines both working and stationary, a vintage timber trailer and collectable tools to auction," he said.
"We have a vintage horse-drawn wagon which was supposedly used for carting milk in Melbourne for sale. It has been converted into a gypsy wagon and is creating a lot of interest from the horse side of things but also for collectors because its in such good condition."
Head along to the Cobden Vintage Rally from 10am on Saturday morning.
