Warrnambool police are appealing for information after a hit-and-run incident in Tait Crescent during which a young boy was fortunate to not sustain serious injuries.

A police spokesman said about 2.30pm on January 14 a white Toyota Kluger was travelling west on Tait Crescent in Warrnambool.
He said a a young boy was crossing the road with his bicycle and as he reached the pavement the Kluger hit the rear of the bike and the vehicle drove off without stopping.
"Luckily the boy only sustained a few scratches and bruises," he said.
"The Kluger is believed to have been travelling at a fast rate of speed, was fitted with false number plates and is believed to have been involved in a petrol drive off earlier in the day."
Police are also appealing for information after road signs were damaged along Spring Flat Road near Wangoom.
An incident happened overnight on February 1 when offenders knocked down 10 traffic signs.
