Hundreds attended the bi-annual festival as the colours, smells and atmosphere of Portugal came to Lake Pertobe on Sunday.
Organiser Alda Retre said she loved soaking in the atmosphere of the Portuguese Festival.
"It's was really lovely to be at Cannon Hill (for the official opening), looking out across Lady Bay," she said.
"We have had a number of Warrnambool locals coming down, this event unites the Portuguese community with the people of Warrnambool through the Mahogany Ship legend."
