Paul Angarano, 34, pleaded guilty in Warrnambool Magistrates Court to theft-related offences and was sentenced to the 98 days already served in custody on remand.
The court heard 20 of those days were spent in solitary confinement.
At the time of the offending, Angarano was unemployed and living between caravan parks and motels.
On October 6 last year, he attended at the Trublu Dog Wash on Warrnambool's Caramut Road wearing all black and a balaclava.
He used a blow torch and a large set of bolt cutters to access two machines, stealing $200 in coins and causing extensive damage to the machines and the floor.
The court heard he used similar means to access gaming room machines at Warrnambool's BIG4 NRMA Riverside and Discovery holiday parks before stealing hundreds of dollars in gold coins.
He also attended the Russell's Creek Cricket Club in August and used a metal pole to smash open a door into the kitchen area of the building.
He purposely blocked the kitchen sink before turning on a tap, causing extensive water damage. He then removed a safe containing $200 cash and used a wheelchair belonging to the cricket club to remove it from the building.
Angarano was arrested on October 18 at a Warrnambool motel. He was found in possession of three blow torches and a deal bag containing a small amount of methamphetamine.
He told police he was in financial trouble and needed to pay his rent.
Angarano was released from jail and placed on a 12-month corrections order with 100 hours of community work. He was also fined $1200.
