The blaze was deemed not suspicious but how it started is still unknown, CFA district six duty commander Robert Howell said.
"We're not conclusive on what the actual cause, but it's not been deemed to be suspicious," he said.
"I don't believe there was a lot of damage, there was some smoke damage to the building and minimal fire damage.
"Two people evacuated the building but no-one was hurt."
Earlier: An electrical fault is believed to be the cause of a building fire in Terang on Saturday morning.
CFA investigators are looking into how a Strong Street gym caught on fire just after 9am on February 22.
It took five pumpers over 40 minutes to put a stop to the fire after reports of smoke pouring from the building were called in to emergency services.
"Firefighters gained entry wearing breathing apparatus as the premises was full of smoke," a CFA spokeswoman said.
"It was initially difficult to find the source of the fire.
"Powercor were also required to attend."
Police deemed the fire non-suspicious.
