The three-day annual agricultural expo opened on Wednesday and despite the clouds, thousands gathered to discover the latest machinery, products and services available as well as cuddle a few furry farmyard friends.

Exhibitors from across the south-west and wider presented their products and services to farmers from near and far and coordinator Emma Kavanagh enjoyed the first day of festivities.
"In terms of weather it's actually been perfect; not too hot and not too cold for people," she said.
"Our numbers are on par with last year and we had a steady stream of people coming through even in the last half an hour.
"I've spoken to a number of exhibitors who had enjoyed themselves."
This year, the agriculture exhibition welcomed 40 new exhibitors and among the popular stalls was Emmanuel College students hosted the Animal Farm which was a huge attraction for families throughout the day.
There was also plenty of machinery and vehicle stores displayed their latest products and farmers walked down memory lane in the historic tractor lane.
The exhibit judging for the first day saw Claas Harvest Centre take out the Best Site Award, Nutrien Ag Solutions named Best Commercial Exhibit, Cervus Equipment claimed Best Farm Machinery, Forest and Garden Tree Services won Best Small Business Exhibit, Bade Ness Rural was awarded the Rural Award and Reid Stockfeeds received the Tony Rea Innovation Award.
"As every year we've had food demonstrations, vehicle displays and musical acts," Ms Kavanagh said.
"We've also encouraged people through our Facebook page to check out the various dairy exhibitors and their new innovations.
"There's plenty to look at and so much range for people young and old."
The Sungold Field Days run until Friday with entry $18 for adults, $8 for students and children 12 and under free.
