The 30th Weeran Angus autumn bull sale will be held on February 25 from 1pm and will feature the final offering of Herdbook embryos purchased from Millah Murrah.

The sale will feature sons of Ascot Hallmark, Millah Murrah Loch Up and Millah Murrah Lincoln.

It has been an exciting three-year program that allowed Weeran to sample the Millah Murrah program and run them alongside its own performance cattle.

There are also many outstanding sons by Wattletop Franklin G188, Boonaroo Gravity G13, Paringa Judd M118, Weeran Hooper H20, JMB Traction, Ardcairnie F96, Clunie Range Legend L348 and Barwidgee JayW, who have worked very successfully in the Weeran Herd.

Weeran principal Alec Moore said the stud will offer 35 Herdbook-registered and 51 APR-registered bulls at the sale.

"There are a large number of reference sires due to the extensive embryo program we have undertaken," Alec said. "We have a mix of 18 month and two-year-old bulls on offer.

"The sale catalogue is endorsed and recognised by Angus Australia with all sale bulls sire verified. You know what you are purchasing.

"We are taking our selection decisions to the next level using the latest advancements in Angus genotyping technology. It's an exciting time in the industry."

Alec said the team enjoyed many visitors to Weerangourt for the annual Beef Week field day last week.

"All sale bulls were on display and we received very good comments about the excellent temperament, which is essential and something the Weeran team pride themselves on," Alec said.

"We received positive feedback during the day, as the many visitors went through the pens inspecting the bulls, with many commenting they were very quiet."
