The first-year leader smashed 84 runs to help the Cats post an impressive total of 200 from their 50 overs at the crease against Cobden.
The innings paved the way for his side which eventually bowled Cobden out for 148 in 43.2 overs.
Schafer, who scored his first half-century of the season after two innings of 40, also took the final wicket in the two balls he bowled.
