Jazz fans lined Sackville Street to watch as performers and dancers made their way to the Fiddlers Green for a jam session.
Committee member Catherine Huf said organisers were delighted with the turn out of both musicians and public for the parade.
"It's been a fantastic morning, we have a weekend ahead with heaps of jazz," she said.
Ms Huf again called for people to sign up for the world record attempt for the largest Charleston dance.
"We only need 1097 people to make this happen," she said.
The world record attempt will take place on Port Fairy's Fiddlers Green at 11am on Sunday morning. Registrations for the attempt can be made at the Port Fairy Jazz Festival website.
