The saying, used to describe parents carting children to sporting events, is a club program aimed at getting mums to jump out of the car and have a kick.
Mother-of-three Brooke Gent plays for the Wolves, who are preparing for the inaugural South West Victoria Football Association women's league.
She said the soccer mums initiative was about inclusion and fitness.
The first session for 2020 will be a come-and-try evening at Harris Recreation Reserve on Tuesday, February 18 from 5.30pm.
"Soccer mums is to encourage women who have thought about trying soccer to come down and give it a go," Gent said.
"It's great to be positive role models for our kids, especially our girls, and to encourage them to continue on with their sport past their teenage years.
"I got involved in soccer when I was in my 20s. I came to a trial night and I just fell in love with it and signed up on the spot and having been playing ever since."
Gent, 41, will play alongside Amanda Gaffey-Smyth when the Wolves kick off their SWVFA season on February 16.
Wolves will join Warrnambool Rangers, Portland and two under 16 representative sides in the new competition.
Gaffey-Smyth, 27, said it was a positive step for female sport in the south-west.
"We've been trying the last couple of years to get it going and have had more and more (practice) games against Portland, Hamilton and Geelong," she said.
"But o have a local league where women can come down and play consistently is really, really great for soccer and women in general interested in sport.
"This year the interest has been good but we know there's a lot more out there that are maybe a little unsure so hopefully it will keep taking off from here.
"We've had up to 30 women on certain weeks so we're hoping to keep that number growing."
Gaffey-Smyth said Wolves were pleased with the team they had assembled and were excited to hit the pitch.
"Catherine Darkin has been with us for several years and she is one of our strikers and I think she's going to have a breakout year," she said.
"Diane (Kluijfhout) is one of our key defenders so I think she is going to have a big year with the league actually being able to show off how important defence is."
