Alexandrou crossed to Mack Oval in November when Warrnambool and District league rival East Warrnambool fell into recess.
The 30-year-old is one of six former Bombers hopeful of firing Russells Creek back into finals calculations after a 10-year exile.
"I like to set realistic goals. I think fifth spot on the ladder is a realistic goal, based on what every other club is doing and has done in the summer.

"It's definitely not an unrealistic goal. We finished second-bottom last year but we're looking to climb up the ladder."
Alexandrou said the East Warrnambool recruits had quickly settled into life at Russells Creek.
"Being a ruckman, I've played a lot with Phil in the middle. Jyran isn't in the middle, but we know what he can do up forward," Alexandrou said.
"I think it's a good asset, having played together before. We know each other. I don't think the gelling process has been a struggle.
"We know each, at least a lot of the recruits know each other, and the blokes already at the club are a good bunch so it's made it really easy for us."
Zac Timms, who crossed from South Rovers after winning the 2019 under 18 league best-and-fairest, was determined to make an impact at his new club.
"I sort of just want to come and do what I'm told and prove myself a bit," he said.
"I know obviously I'm younger, but i don't think that should mean anything. I'll try to come in and have an impact wherever I'm put."

Timms said he'd maintained focus on his fitness over the festive period.
"I sort of started straight away. I started doing my own stuff, running in my downtime, and had a bit of a break over Christmas," he said.
"The boys came back in November time and put in the hard yards. We've come back now, the last couple of weeks.
"We've had a pretty good run at it, so we should be ready to go by round one."
