Excitement is building ahead of Warrnambool City Netball Association's Junior Club Challenge which starts on Thursday night at The Val Bertrand Stadium.

Female junior teams from football netball clubs across the south-west will face off in under 13, under 15 and under 17 competitions.
The Challenge, which involves full-length matches, will run each Thursday until mid-March. Game times are 4.30pm and 5.30pm.
Across the weeks, clubs will gain points in numerous ways such as for wins, umpires supplied and proper uniform.
The club with the most points overall will take home the coveted shield.
The points system means a club that doesn't have a team in a grand final, in any grade, can still take out the major prize.
Koroit Football Netball Club from the Hampden league won it last year.
The association's walking netball program is also back at 6.30pm (new time) on Thursday night.

Participants can only walk to positions to catch the ball.
WCNA's Marg Morgan said it was an ideal way for people to get involved in the sport.
She added it was for all ages, male and female.
The association's ladies night competition also returned on Tuesday night after a break over Christmas.
That season started in October and runs until March.
