The development has been scaled back, with plans for five shops to be included removed from the plan.
SHA Premier Constructions Pty Ltd submitted the new planning permit, with changes including moving the service station back from the street, increasing the number of pumps from three to six (including two high flow), an LPG tank at the back of the site and widening vehicle entry and exit points to Manifold Street.
Three submissions on the amended proposal were received.
One of the objections related to the fact there are already three service stations in the town, while other issues raised were impact on visual amenity and increased noise in the area.
A report to be put to the councillors at Tuesday night's general meeting recommends adopting the changes with a number of conditions including acoustic fencing at the site.
Councillors will also be asked to vote on whether to gift the Cobden SES with its current headquarters.
The meeting will be held in Camperdown at 7pm.
