The $15 million school on Wollaston Road is completed and the classrooms are ready for the students to move in.

It's a day Mr Dowell has been waiting for a long time. "Seven years ago we wrote to the regional director to say 'we feel that we are running out of room'."

At the time, Mr Dowell thought there may be a consideration to take over the neighbouring SEAL building, but he said he couldn't be happier with the new facility.

He said the building, which was double the size of the former school, had exceeded all expectations.

Included in the new school are four hubs for junior primary, senior primary, junior secondary and senior secondary.

Each hub includes a kitchen area, shared multipurpose area and state-of-the-art classrooms.

The school also has a commercial kitchen for students to learn how to cook, a trampoline room, basketball court, dedicated area for cycling, a cafe and separate canteen and multipurpose area that may be available for public use.
