From her two runs in this campaign Obi won at Penshurst on Boxing Day before winning at Hamilton on January 10.
Wilde admits he's been pleasantly surprised with Obi's two wins.
"I must admit Obi has performed better then I thought she may go," the Warrnambool-based trainer said.
"She had improved a lot from her Penshurst win to her Hamilton run and she's done the same to this run at Caulfield.
"The big thing Obi has in her favour is she's running against her own age at Caulfield.
"Her owner lives in Melbourne so we thought we would have a throw at the stumps in a race down there and this one suits her.
"It's her first try at 1400 metres but I'm confident she'll run it out."
