The Waves stormed to victory in the Youth Premier League competition at Melbourne's Junction Oval on Thursday.
They defeated the Inner East Emus by eight wickets in a twenty20 match.
The significance of the feat wasn't lost on coach Maddi Tobias.
"It's huge," she said.
"We work six months of the year to train for it and put the squad together."
The Waves knocked over the Emus for 85 runs with Brierly-Christ Church's Hannah Rooke claiming 2-20.
Rooke, typically a medium-pacer, took up off-spin bowling for the tournament because the Waves were without a spinner.
"She just picked it up, took it up for the tournament," Tobias said.
"We've told her not to go back to bowling medium-pace."

Port Fairy's Maddie Green took 1-15.
Green, who also opened the batting, contributed 22 runs.
Heytesbury Rebels' Milly Illingworth, who was awarded player of the match, finished 26 not out as the Waves reeled in the Emus' total in 14.4 overs.
The Waves earned their way into the final after finishing on top of the Renegades League conference.
They had five wins, one draw and one loss.
