Now his home association, Warrnambool Basketball Incorporated Inc, is following in the Brisbane Bullets guard's footsteps.
Warrnambool's junior Seahawks and Mermaids will wear green laces and wristbands at the Bendigo junior tournament this weekend.

Junior development officer Michael McGorm said he was thrilled with the support.
"It's about raising money and awareness," he said.
"We've had amazing response and we've ordered hundreds of laces and wristbands."
McGorm hopes the extra splash of green - a lighter shade than their playing singlets - will become commonplace during squad tournaments and domestic games.
