Club secretary and treasurer Tracy Chilton said the club had completed its annual track "facelift" in preparation for the event.

"We have changed a couple of jumps, added and taken some things out to refresh it," she said. "Every 12 months we do a facelift which helps maintain it. Because obviously it is the first event of the year with that many competitors we wanted it up to a top standard."

Chilton said 14 classes are in action over the two days with the A grade senior the one to watch with 20 riders registered to race.

"We had 290 riders last year which was a great effort," she said. "We are first motocross event of the year and being the first one we always get great numbers."

Chilton mentioned Steven Collins, Ray Cole, Cody and Zeb Bartlett as one of many club riders for spectators to keep an eye on.

Cole is a Colac-based rider who has rejoined the club after a couple of years break. He will ride aloingside club mates Ezekiel Bertoni in the 19-rider strong Senior Lite A grade class.

Collins is in the Open A grade while Cody and Zeb ride in the 85cc/150cc big wheel B Grade and the 85cc/150cc small wheel A Grade respectively.
