Dyson, the owner of two cars set for the South West Conveyancing Grand Annual Sprintcar Classic this weekend, has engaged Larson and fellow American Carson Macedo as drivers.
Larson, a multiple NASCAR-winning champion, is fresh off a triumph in the revered Chili Bowl Midget Nationals on Sunday and landed in Melbourne on Tuesday morning.
Dyson, who is based north of Sydney, told The Standard Larson and Macedo were contenders for the classic.
"(Kyle Larson) is always in form, he's just never not in form," he said.
"He's just always on the podium. I think in the midget racing, which he's been doing lately, he's won something like nine out of 10 races.
"He's just the greatest racecar driver in the world at the moment. I think we have two of the best chances to win the classic.
"Hopefully both of our guys are on the podium on Sunday."
Larson is booked for the first night of qualifying on Friday, while Macedo will front up on Saturday.
The duo are part of a nine-strong American contingent, which also features former winners Shane Stewart and Tim Kaeding.
Dyson said Macedo was "like family" and his team had built a strong relationship with Larson over the past 18 months.
"We've been racing with Carson for something like four years. He's like family to us," he said.
"We've obviously had Tim (Kaeding) and Paul (McMahan) race with us before and these guys are really like our family.
"We enjoy meeting new people, really quality people, and the racing side of it is fantastic. It's all about the people you meet."
Dyson said the team would allow Larson to settle in on Tuesday before preparing to contest the Presidents Cup at Avalon on Wednesday.
He said Larson and Macedo were also bound for Mount Gambier's Kings Challenge on Thursday before tackling the classic on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
