Warrnambool's Aquazone will host the annual swimming carnival, which will attract a number of participants from across the state.
Thomas, 23, enters the championships following a win in the Danger 1000 swim in Torquay and a third place at Australia's most prestigious open water swim - the Pier to Pub in Lorne.
The Warrnambool-based swimmer, who finished behind Tokyo Olympic hopeful Lani Pallister and six-time winner Harriet Brown, said she would take confidence from her recent form in the open water.
"I haven't raced in the pool recently as it takes back seat in the surf season but it is good to have a home countries," she said.
"Hopefully we can pull a big team score together with a lot of 18 and over (swimmers). It's going to be a big three days so hopefully I can hang on."
Thomas will feature in the 50, 100, 200 and 400-metre freestyle, the 400 and 200 individual medley, 200 and 50 butterfly and the 50-metre breaststroke.

Thomas said competing in her hometown had its pros and cons.
"It's bad because sometimes it's hard to take it as serious as you should because it doesn't feel like a country championships when it is at home but once I get into the pool I will be fine," she said.
"It will also be nice to sleep in my own bed."
Thomas, who is competing in her 11th Country Championships, said she would keep things as normal as possible between her events.
"We do heaps of heats and finals it can mean some big days but it's important to not be walking around heaps," she said.
"I like to watch and I am more relaxed when I watch everyone else. Food and cool downs help and going home for lunch and some good sleep will be handy."
The Victorian Country Championships kick off on Friday and runs until Sunday.
