The Premier Speedway announcer, who grew up in Warrnambool and fell in love with the sport, will set himself up again on the in-field to call all three nights for the 20th time with high hopes of another bumper Classic.
"It is a world class field and there are not many other tracks around the world who have done what Premier Speedway have been able to achieve so we are very privileged," he said.
"We have had more cars in years gone by but not many have had the calibre competing and this quality of field is as good as I have ever seen it."
The sales manager, who takes Friday and Saturday off work each year for the Classic, said the American contingent was also one of the strongest.
It includes one of the best entries the Classic has ever had in high-profile NASCAR star Kyle Larson.

Former winners Tim Kaeding and Shane Stewart as well as Cory Eliason, Kalib Henry, Buddy Kofoid, McKenna Haase and Carson Macedo are the other US-based drivers set to race.
White said the key to success was luck.
"The drivers can be as prepared as they like but they need fortune throughout qualifying and the heats and Sunday night they need some more," he said.
"You need to make your own luck but this one is wide open. They need to piece everything together perfectly."
White said the continued success of the Classic was something he and the club were proud of.
"We are proud to represent 60 years of the club and the 48th running of the Classic," he said.
"The club do a wonderful job and so do all volunteers, management and the board. For a country club to produce one of the biggest races in Australia and the world is a credit to everyone involved."
